ANDREA'S GARDEN
Editing, Pruning, and Adding Color
Andrea's garden had been designed with lovely structure and beautiful plantings in unusual colors and varieties. It was definitely a very nice foundation to work from. We pruned back shrubs and trees that had overgrown their space to allow more sun into the garden. The newly planted areas give her a hydrangea bed to cut from and herbs for the kitchen.
BEFORE
Lawn area got too much shade to be healthy, and this part of the garden lacked color
LAYOUT
Andrea's gardener did a great job laying out the new curved bed to soften the angles on the wall behind and complement the rest of the garden design
NEW BED
'Endless Summer' hydrangeas will bloom all summer in jewel tones to brighten up the back yard and as cut flowers for indoor arrangements
COLORFUL POTS
BEFORE
Andrea owned lovely ceramic containers that she liked but the succulents in them had grown out
AFTER
We added some additional pots, rearranged and replanted them with colorful blooms that created a nice view from the Dining Room table.
SEASONAL CHANGES
The grasses grow taller in summer, making the arrangement more dramatic
